The Shed Chocolate&#x2122; at the end looked fit to tempt a saint, while the milky coffee vexed mere mortals to maintain the balance of nature. Mike requests there be no more talk of his (male) colleagues in lycra shorts. He has been forced to apply bleach to his mind to remove the risk of unpleasant flashbacks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Elaine will try and curb talk of lycra shorts &#8211; especially those worn by afore mentioned colleagues&#8230;&#8230; but as walk is 29 miles and will take many hours to complete, I feel it may be difficult not to revisit at some point.\u00a0 Do we need list of suitable conversation topics?<\/p>\n<p>Mabie 28 February\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 6.8 miles\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 elevation 216m\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 time 2h<\/p>\n<p>Mabie 1 March\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 13.1 miles\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 elevation 216m\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 time 3h 45m<\/p>\n<p>Includes some off piste, which would be better to re-route for future walks. Only lost the border terrier once for five minutes, but that was during the of path part. Mike required cheese on toast resuscitation after this one. Dogs have switched to sleep mode.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mabie 1 March\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a012 miles\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0time 3h 20mins\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Elaine &#8211; David only did 7 miles as he&#8217;s not as fit as me!<\/p>\n<p>As you might expect, I had absolutely no idea which paths we followed &#8211; there was definitely no off piste though.\u00a0 Wore new boots with no\u00a0major problems, but could have done with the poles as well.\u00a0 Feeling bit nervous as my legs\/hips know they&#8217;ve been walking&#8230;. I need\u00a0more training.\u00a0Can&#8217;t believe Sweep was out again today after all his &#8216;exercise&#8217; yesterday!!!\u00a0 Poor Oscar.\u00a0\u00a0 Look forward to another good walk next Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mabie 7 March\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 13.7 miles\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0time 3h 58m\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 Mike, Leo and Sweep only<\/p>\n<p>Wet, wet, wet.<\/p>\n<p>Mabie 8 March\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 14 miles\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0time 3h 56m<\/p>\n<p>This was much harder than yesterday. I (Mike) thought it would have been a longer walk since I felt pushed throughout, almost at the level of asking for a drop in pace, yet the time was the same as yesterday which was a much easier pace. Perhaps the distances measured are not correct, or the slopes were different.<\/p>\n<p>I have bought another stick, in fact two since it was buy one get one free. The slope up from Dalshinnie with the wind in my face would have finished me off without a stick.<\/p>\n<p>Mabie 15 March\u00a013.9 miles\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 time 4h 12m<\/p>\n<p>Seemed easier than last Sunday.
